Lovely wine. Bold and vivacious. Like a female warrior charging into war. Yet soft and subtle. Lots of camphor and some wood (oak?) in the nose. Palate is classic burgundy with dark fruits and cherry cola. Still a bit tannic and needed some time to open up.

Served blind. Big and bold. Quite a savoury nose with plenty oak. Lots of structure. Still tannic despite its 13 years. More black fruits. Thought Gevrey due to the grip. Lovely wine to try in a mini line up of two CdB. The class of the Vinyard is evident. From SJW

During a Gevrey dinner. Closed initially, then opened more and more after 1h of decanting. A structured wine, too much so for my taste, complexity is there but I wish for more elegance. Probably sourced from Damoy would be my guess given the style. Palate 93. Aromas 95+. Wait or decant. Wait till 2022.

Tight at open, needed 4 hours of air to really come alive and settle down. Bright acidity, excellent fruit though a bit lactic at times.
