A couple of tasters today noted some barnyard notes, that I'm not getting here at all. A bit mean and smokey. Dense in the aromas. Black fruit and garrigue. Has an early drinking appeal, and rather up front and giving for relatively young CndP. A touch chestnut-y on the nose. A rather inviting palate texture that goes down easy.
Dinner at Catherines - French Theme (Unionville, PA): I don't remember much about this wine other than the fruit was a little darker, more black then red. Also, there was some black pepper and meat. This wasn't as complex or polished as the other CdP's that we drank along side it. Not bad but not memorable either.
