I needed a wine to accompany a cauliflower dominated dish and what could suit better than a Silvaner? The wine flows into the glass in a very cristalline clear light yellow colour. In the nose, there are wet stones, a bit of flintstone, grass and green peppers. It's not very fruity. While the bouquet is quite unbalanced at first, it becomes more elegant with the bottle open for an hour. On the palate, the wine is very mineralic... and not much more. Quite honestly, this wine tastes very similar to the 2009 Keller Riesling which makes one think that he has his style, but it doesn't focus too much on the individuality of the grape variety. P.S. after a few days open in the fridge, the wine became much more elegant, so that two more points are justified. I wouldn't have thought that this needs some time after opening, but it's clearly the case.

fresh, sparkling - smell of flint and grass. Overall impression: more Riesling than Silvianer-like.

very fresh - still a little bit sparkling - and surprisingly powerful for a Silvaner, very nice wine, drink soon
