Holy cow. My first time with this wine and shame on me - it's glorious! Lots of red fruit, slightly soapy, violets. Sexy fruit, sweet with good acid. Long and great. Drinking beautifully. (96)
On vacation in RMNP / Estes Park VRBO w/ the extended family. This was FABULOUS but, went unnoticed by my 38yr old daughter & son-in-law. I need to stick to serving them well-chosen wines under $50:). This is in its window and drinking great. One left that I'll open for Nita and I or a few wine buddies in the next year or 3. 95+

Quite good. This was allowed to breathe, in bottle, for approximately an hour, and then followed for the ensuing two hours; it continually improved with each successive glass. There's a touch, equally divided between the core and the fringe of a solar nature here, but the wine is in balance at all times. I found the overall nature to be compelling as I'm a lover of purity and finesse. Muddyboots' note pretty much describes my experience, too. From the cellar of, and with, pigdaddy, the real star of the show that night. This can last at a high level for several more years, but, with some proper aeration, I'd be inclined to drink sooner than later, preferring the remnants of its primary nature to that of exclusively tertiary. Considering the release price, this is easily highly recommended.
A huge shout out to Pizzeria Mercato, in Chapel Hill area, for providing the level of food and service that were on par with the quality of wines we enjoyed; a must visit for those that are able.
