More like a 91.5 but we're splitting hairs. I thought this was a pleasant surprise. The 2008 acidity helped villages like NSG in that they feel livelier. Chevillon is the king of NSG and this bottle was super enjoyable tonight with some duck l'orange and chicken paillard. Nose was welcoming right out of the gate while the wine took 30-45 minutes to unfurl in the decanter. Not life changing but rather excellent for the $90 price I paid.

Nuits-Saint-Georges and Riesling - Q by Peter Chang (Q by Peter Chang - Bethesda, Maryland): Medium expressive nose displaying ripe slightly dry black fruit, blackberry, black cherry, strong sous bois, button mushroom, cinnamon, roasted nuts and earth. Medium concentration, subtle black fruit, cool and lean, strong acidity, earthy mineral, harsh tannins and a medium long black fruit driven finish. Once again, bitter and masculine.

Mature wines (Sindre): Concentrated deep nose of juicy bright fruit, perfume, and some metal shavings. Grippy dry on the palate. Bright red fruit. Strawberries and raspberries.
