4th Saturday Uptown Brown Bagger (MM's): Blind, though fairly easy to pick out as our wine in this flight. Light color. Aromas of cherry, mineral and sage. With air this develops a lovely perfumed floral quality. Cherry, clove, mineral and white currant on the palate. Beautiful.

Fantastic aroma, very bright after a couple of hours open. Acidity and sweetness, but not much behind it. To me, the fruit is fading, so will drink up. Complemented food nicely. Overall no complaints but wouldn’t suggest sitting on these too much longer.

It is amazing that this wine is fully mature. Exquisite aromas of flowers and sweet red fruit. The palate is sous bois, plums, raspberries, orange zest and fully resolved tannins. The high acidity is nicely balanced by the sweet fruit.

Note much similar to when tasted 2 and 3 years ago but to my taste approaching end of drinking window now. The nose is brilliant burgundy with so many complex notes. On the palate it appears more as a chambolle than a NSG with its sweet cherry and a soft structure. Lovely wine but drink up now. 93-94P 93
