Coravin fun - Caronne Ste Gemme and Branaire Ducru (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Medium minus intensity aromas of plum, sweet spice, a little cream, very slight pyrazine. With agitation the fruit pops a little more and is joined by some cedar. Juicy, savoury plums, slight chalky tannins in support, a little leather. Slight non-intrusive alcohol warmth on the finish which also proves quite fleshy, simple but nice.

Dried brown tobacco, graphite, dried plum paste, crushed violets, wet forest floor, wet gravel, damp oak, overripe raspberry, ripe dark cherry, overripe strawberry, light burnt caramel, smoked rosemary, and roasted venison fat. On the palate, tangy acid, integrated med+ tannins, and dried red fruits dominate. No need to decant. Fully matured now and will probably fade soon.

First Class Flying (35,000 Feet Over The South China Seas): Looks Bordeaux. Beautiful nose, amazing, can sit and smell this all day. Asian spice, cedar, earth, mushroom. Leather bitter chocolate, fine dry ripe tannins. Excellent. Resolved, deep lingering finish. Fillas the palte, great with food.

Drinking very well from a double magnum. Good depth of vary traditional Bordeaux fruit. Rounded but with some support still.
