Best bottle (@Schmiede, Kirchheim): A bit dull, amber color. Wonderful intense nose with lots of acacia honey. Sweet, balanced by still present acidity. Honey, acacia, spices. Intense and medium finish. Wonderful experience. Drink up, it won’t improve.

It didn't look too pretty in the glass, muddy and slightly watery-brown (perhaps, just needed some time to stand before decanting), but the ugly duckling turned beauty. The sherry-like nose started a bit one-dimensional though quite strong, and gradually gaining complexity became really compelling with time. Raisins, milk chocolate, all sorts of nuts and citrus notes, reminding maybe a good aged Boal. Unlike most vin santos I've tasted this one had an absolutely wonderful acidity edge. Dark chocolate, oranges, nuts on the palate and the perfect endless acidity making it totally excellent!

Not my cup of tea, therefore no rating. Good quality, just not my style to enjoy.
