  • From a perfect conditioned bottle. Nah - this isn't worth today's price tag. Bit hard, smelly on the nose, tad of red fruit, rustic with acidic cut but just not pleasant aromatically. Followed over two days.

  • November Gevery Tasting:
Double decanted and drank over 3 hours. It is pure class. This opened up nicely and was everything you'd expect from a top producer. Layered, focused, and completely in balance. This was beautiful. Every time I have a village wine from a top producer I tell myself I need to be drinking more of these. Drink now.

  • Same bottle as Chablis28 and Rocknroller. Popped about an hour before pouring. Pretty from the moment poured, but light and demure. Gained intensity as it sat in the glass, with each taste getting better than the previous one and ended up being quite impressive. Quite impressive.

  • This needed sometime in glass to impress. it started out a little funky but over time resolved into the tell tale Rousseau elegance and soilly minerality and spicy red fruit. This evolved from questionable to quite lovely. Very enjoyable! I didn't let Dave share this with the kitchen because I could see it heading to the right place.

  • A Mostly Grand Cru French Night at Heirloom (Heirloom, St.Paul, MN): Medium maroon red color with some bricking. PNP, drank 1 glass over 75 minutes. This was the most remarkable transformation of the night and pretty stunning in general. This started off skanky and very vegetal with light sour red fruits that couldn't stand up. What happened was downright amazing. It took about 30 to 45 minutes but this developed a clean nose with crushed rose petals, dried leaves, and pure red cherry. The palate is spot on adding raspberry coulis notes. Integrated, long and excellent. Gotta get this some air and then enjoy. 92+pts.
