I love what Noellat does with this vineyard. The nose is pure Burgundy with earthy red fruits, some musk and hints of brown spice. The palate is only moderately concentrated but it has excellent flavors and complexity. A lighter finish, but otherwise totally enjoyable. Don't see this getting any better from here.

Casual Wine Dinner (Grand Sichuan at St. Marks, New York City): This is right up my Burg power alley. Sick nose! Full and exotic persistent aromas with pure black cherry, stem driven herb and florals, and spice. Palate follows suit with more sexy fruit, spice and stem driven herbs intermixed. Great velvety texture and lift. In a great spot right now.

Didn't get a full note on this and kind of skipped over it - the nose was quite young showing popcorn and red fruit some sweet oak and spices. Strong acid and solid structure on the palate with red fruits and spices. I thought the 00 Chevillon was significantly better. This was in the 15/20 range.

Lovely nose with layers of earth, spice, new leather and black cherry fruit. Velvety fruit is medium bodied and ready to go.

Nanda does Grand Sichuan (St. Marks Place Grand Sich, NY): Really good. Bright, sappy red fruit with spicy, faintly herbal (stemmy?), and more savoury earthy accents, all conveyed with a finessed touch on a medium weight frame.
