Community Tasting Notes (64) Avg Score: 91.1 points

  • Lovely nose with tar, dark cherries, ripe raspberries, violets, liquorice, earthy dust and a slight hint of meaty broth (91p).
Medium bodied in the mouth. Nice freshness/acidity and some tannins. Fairly sweet mature fruit notes, but perhaps less fruit than astringency. Long, slightly drying aftertaste. (89p)
Food wine. Appears mature and at its peak, drink within next 0-3 years. Total score 90 points.

  • With the vineyard's and the producer's reputation mixed with the great vintage, this was straightly a disappointment. A smell of iron dominated the first half an hour. Gets better after around two hours.

  • Samme som sist, flott og moden, markant syre. Tror denne er på topp nå.

  • Flott flaske. Moden duft, tjære.nyper og lakris.
Utviklet i munnen, tørker frukt. Ganske syrlig avslutning, som kan tyde på at frukten begynner å forsvinne.

  • PNP into Zalto Burgundy glass ("Leaf" day): Medium garnet to the eyes.

Great nose of floral-infused dark red cherry fruits. Earthy and tarry spices that is highly complex. Some hints of truffle and sweet soy sauce.

Needs some air time in bottle for the great elements to come together in my view.

    94-95 points at this stage.

c.1.5 hour upon opening, 3rd to 4th pour onwards with 1/2 bottle left: Opened up very nicely with better integration and focus. More towards 95 points alongside the great lineup tonight.

c.2.5 hours upon opening, last few pours: More sweet soy sauce notes emerged that is disrupting the overall balance on the flavor profile to me. Back to 94-95 points overall. This might be resolved with longer slow-ox pre-serving next time / cellerage?
