Nose a bit shy but showing some rhubarb and a little herbal note. Pretty much the same on the palate, with soft, delicate mouthfeel and less acidity than one would assume, given the vintage reputation. Pretty much middle of the road depth, structure, and intensity which suits my palate just fine. Went very well with baked salmon, roasted potatoes and onions, and steamed broccoli.

Cherries, strawberries and earthy notes on the nose. Velvety on the palate, not much tannin and with some refreshing acidity on a lively finish. Very good village Gevrey.

Similar to my note of 16/07/16 but this showed less development at the rim so in more prime drinking window territory. Consequently more mouthfilling with a greater depth of flavour. Seriously good village level GC. Yum.

Very similar to my last note, but drying out slightly indicating it is nearing the end of its peak window. Lovely GC nose and a good finish for this level. 89-90.

As it opens, it shows dark cherry and a very savory soy-unami thing on the bottom, and it's silky in feel and weightless in the mouth. Very nice indeed. As it airs, the fruit sweetens yet remains very dark in color. The tannins are a touch dry. This should mature very nicely.
