Rustic with loads of sweet and sour cherries and hint of barnyard. Fresh with high acidity. Feels more like a sangiovese than a pinot. Nice wine that feels younger than 2008.

A fairly traditional and elegant Burgundian nose with strawberries, some animal notes and hints of iron filings, well integrated spice and oak. Showing some development. Medium bodied(-), strawberries, sour cherries, chalky minerality, pronounced acidity, rather light tannins, and a tart berry aftertaste. Well composed, rather light and elegant for a Gevrey. I have a feeling that this one could develop with some additional time in the cellar and that it might be in something of a closed/dumb phase right now. 88+ p.

This is good Gevrey. Clean fruit with supple lightness, strong mid-palate and fine balance. Nothing of the rusticity that you can find in this village.

Almost a balsamic note reminiscent of Sangiovese.
