Nose: strawberry, rose petals, beautiful red fruits, cranberry, dark chocolate Very intense and delightful nose with a silky and smooth palate. Excellent length on the aftertaste, this is probably the ceiling of this specific 1er Cru. I would rate this higher but turns out it's not very long lasting and started to go downhill in 2 hours so I'd say that although this is an excellent wine but I would probably prefer the Suchots over the Reignots. Cathiard wines are always very seductive and elegant so this is undebatable and it is very delicious. Drink: now- 2033 Rating: 92

Nose was a bit sweaty. Palate was surprisingly feminine and weightless. In fact, it showed plenty of sweet red fruit. The profile is very different from my previous bottles and the recent TNs. It was not very Cathiard.

Opened in morning decanted at the restaurant and still remained a little closed at dinner. Great fruit concentration and structure. Potential 92-95 pts but needs at least 5 or more years

Slow ox for 90 mins before serving. Vosne spice, feral, herbs and dark fruit. Round dark fruit laying on powerful and layered palate. Just entering its drinking window. Very good. 93+

The 2008 Sylvain Cathiard Vosne Romanee Aux Reignots as mentioned last year didn’t have the complexity of the usual Aux Reignots, a hallowed Premier Cru above La Romanee. Tasted blind - Dark fruited nose with fragrant new oak. Nice lift and polished. Gevrey 1er 2011? (89/100)
