Fairly mature. Notes of Asian plum sauce, soy, and earth with flecks of funk, white pepper and tar not unlike an old St. Joseph. Liked this a lot; interesting to know a gamay can go here.

Fantastic nose! Very open, perfyme-dominated with viols, lavendel, strawbeeries, goose berries, blueberry muffin, vanilla and rhubarb pie. Do not have much experience with the gamay grape. Have only drunk low key beaujolais wines. Feels like a pinot noir in northen rhone. On the palate it has razor sharp acid, feels like a fizzy drink. It almost stings you in the mouth, but in a funny way I like it. Rhubarb, goose berries, rowan berries are getting wild in my mouth. Some white pepper and lemon comes right through on the end. I can guess that this wine would feel too harsh for some people, and I wouldn't drink this everyday. Despite this, I must say that I like to break a streak once in a while and this wine works.

Dark ruby color. Black cherry, anise, spice and earth aromas. Tart red fruit on the palate accented by mineral and floral notes. A subtle underlying earthiness. Good feel and dense fine tannins. A full lengthy juicy finish. Very nice, showing very well.
