My first bottle ever from this vineyard, color was a dark ruby. Nose was an intense and haunting bocquet of red berries with earth and rust. Palate was medium bodied with plenty of dry extract. Excellent mid palate, pungent red fruit, mineral and a sweet long lingering finish. Still adequate acidity and tannins to suggest this wine has plenty of life ahead.

color, some slight bricking, nose of violets, crushed rocks with an initial barnyard funky smell that mostly dissipated with air. palate was tart cherry, some leather and mushrooms, acidity was still high. did not decant, probably needs a couple more years or a 2 hour decant.

1999 Red Burgundies (mostly Cote de Beaune) (Vin Vino Wine, Palo Alto, CA): Baked cherry nose. Juicy red cherry fruit on the palate, hint of herb. Adequate acidity. Youthful and quite nice.
