This was a surprise. Linne has always been consistently good. But not always ageable, at least not for 15 years IMO. And a zin based blend? But this was great, at prime and could probably go for a few more years. This had such a nice balance of fruit and earth elements. Will try to find more.

This perfectly balanced Zinfandel blend still has wonderful fruit !! Consumed over two days and was perfect with our grilled fillets. Perfect cork, easily removed. Dark inky burgundy color with medium clarity; unfined and unfiltered. Aromas and flavors of blackberries, plums, and black currant with a medium to long finish. The blend is 58% Zinfandel, 20% Mourvèdre, 15% Syrah, and 7% Petite Sirah fruit from Paso Robles and excellent winemaking from the Linne Calodo team. Only one bottle of this vintage year remaining in my cellar.

Rich, dark red fruit, with a bit of spice. Long finish, with decent structure on the back end, but starting to seem a little flabby at this point, so probably toward the end of its optimal drinking window.

Nice nose showing red fruit and spice. Palate comes through with raspberries, red currant, spices, herbs, a solid structure, tamed tannins and a beautiful lengthy finish. A delicious wine!
