Not a lot of aroma when first opened, had a bit of seaweed and sesame. Leather, plum, and faint licorice taste. Smooth with no bite or offending flavors. Probably would pair well with a pork or chicken dish, but not enough body for heavier foods. Sipped it alone tonight; was enjoyable but not memorable.

Very balanced and smooth when decanted for 1 hour. Not too powerful but complex enough for an average wine. Bought a case for a family reunion for people who wanted a good Pinot Noir and no one was disappointed.

Still plonky. Shouldn't have used it for dinner tonight (seared racks of lamb, deglazed with 1 c. wine, reduced by 80%, then added 2 c. duck stock, 3 crushed garlic, and bouquet garni, reduced til coated a spoon, served with lamb roasted after sear with coating of Dijon, thyme and rosemary, dusted with panko. Left sauce astringent; better wine with more fruit and body would have been more suitable.
