great Grenache Blanc discovery (yes peeps this IS a varietal) from Paso. Golden straw color. Honey, melon nose. Apple, honey, citrus in mouth. Nice body. Lingering finish. recommend.

Golden straw color with pretty vanilla and brioche scents. An effervescent feel with creamy ripe pear, toast and a touch of peach. Admirable mid palate that features spiced baked apple. Lemon blossom provides equilibrium and balance to this small production Grenache Blanc. Delicious grated nutmeg graces a long, rich finish. Previous review was bottle variation. Drink now through next summer.

Considerably different than previously tasted and reviewed at the winery, this Grenache Blanc has dropped off a cliff. Golden, honey-like color but sweeter and thinner than prior encounter. Almost a carbonated feel to the mandarin orange and pineapple with a touch of sour apple. A hint of bitter lemon pith leads to a finish that strays off course in the end. It worked with food, but has noticable flaws on it's own. I hope this was just a bottle variation.

A new offering from this winery that is interesting and well crafted for Grenache Blanc. A tropical fruit paradise hits the nose with a beautiful deep honey color in the glass. Sweet pineapple, ripe mango, and tangerine intermingle on a back drop of citrus to this white wine. Whereas this kind of wine can lead to a heavy hand, this has medium weight and provides some depth to the varied flavor nuances. Shredded coconut trails midpalate leading to a fine, rounded finish. Carina tasting room - Paso Robles Harvest Festival.
