Similar to previous experience, with maybe a little less impression of richness of the mid palate, but still drinking really well. An amazing QPR. Plenty of acidity and youngish tannins have me thinking the CT drinking window is off on this. I think it still has a good 2 to 3 years before it starts to see any decline.
Very good. Paired with a Caprese Salad with aged goat cheese in place of Mozzarella. Dark fruit and oak in the nose, with slight oak, berry, and a bit of spice on the palate. Sediment noted in bottle, and tannins are quite smooth.
Started off kind of bitter but opened up into what it's been before - nice wine but not entirely seeming like a classic set of Sangiovese flavours. More in the new world style in the sense of very ripe fruit, although this one has great balance. Drinking well now and should go for a couple more years easily.
