A medium yellow that presents a bit of a green vegatable nose. Sharp and crisp citrus that finishes a bit harsh, but easily drinkable and, heck, it is less than $7.00.

Taste: little fruit, with a rather sharp, penetrating acidity and some grassiness; altogether much less attractive than the 2008. At the second day, with pasta with tuna, tomatoes and hot spices much better: very fresh, with apple. Also some grassiness. The 2008 was more full and rich, this one more fresh. 80-81.

13.5% ABV. Pale straw in the glass. Vibrant, slightly peppery nose with tart smelling citrus. Medium-bodied with bright tangy gooseberry flavors. If forced to guess in a blind tasting, I would peg this as a NZ SB. I paid $6 for this and at that price it has an exceptional QPR.
