Clean aromas and flavors, the wine is drinking beautifully. Nicely balanced aromas and flavors -- solid fruit (cherry, raspberry, cranberry), bright acidity, nice earthiness, moderate oak, and upright tannins. It was a hit with the guests. Served well with the grilled wild salmon.
Dense loam and minerals, baking spice, touch of vanilla, hints of dried flowers, and classic pinot red fruit aromas. Medium body, a hint of sweetness, concentrated red berry fruit, silky, good acidity (integrated) and very soft toast and tannins (as well as some spice) on the finish. This reminds of the old school extracted Pinot style, BUT with restraint. The flavors are fairly bold and assertive, but "just so" and not over the top. Bold and silky. (*)
