Three years after my first tasting of this wine and bottle age has given it a nice roundness. Pours a semi transparent pomegranate purple. Nose is very complex with black cherry, strawberry jam and a touch of tea. Mouthfeel is incredibly rich and creamy with a sweet tang of orange julius, cherry, strawberry, tea and vanilla. Finish sticks to your throat.
-- Consumed at at cellar temp: 60°-65° F. Friends don't let friends drink red wine at room temp!

I've never been disappointed with a Varner wine and this is no exception. This pinot noir was dark in color, with currant and dark fruit on the nose. Smooth with a nice finish. Great value for the price.

initial strong alcoholic, fumy quality. Burns on the palate afterwards. Not too much fruit. Waited too long?
