  • Beautiful bouquet with barnyard, forest floor, minerals; flint stone, smoke and vanilla. On the palate very juicy, minerals and oak. Very mature, but still lively and interesting. Enormous length, refined and complex and still a good bite. Great wine.

  • Lovely intense colour. Still quite youthful. Needs air to soften. But still a robust Gevrey, fruity but toothsome, some wood & tannins. Very peppery. Best with food. I suspect this won't ever come round and knit together persuasively. Very good though.

  • Dark ruby color w/slight-fading edges. Really woodsy nose of charred oak and dark rasberry/cherry fruit. A masculine, muscular wine with dark woodsy cherry fruit but is a very high-acid wine with little grace and a rough texture. I like the flavor profile but this is not a well-made wine and is out of balance with too much acidity and too much oak.

  • Beautiful and complex bouquet with tobacco, some barnyard and fruits. On the palate very juicy, minerality, good acidity and tannin. Complex and long finish. Mature now and the next few years. Beautiful wine.

  • 6 of these at our first dinner party of the new season. Beautiful clear deep colour, strong Gevrey nose, bold and forward and quite rich on the palate, but nothing excessive, everything in balance. Excellent with poussin and beetroot, good strong flavours in harmony. Very popular with all 19 guests. Will continue at this level for a decade, but won't improve further.
