Nose of tar, licorice and dark berries. Leather, rose petals, menthol and tobacco on the palate. Nicely balanced, acidity, fruit and tannins. Paired beautifully with ribeye.

Garnet in color. Nose of cherries, tar, and hints of leather and menthol. Tastes of cherries, tobacoo, licorice, and menthol. Just starting to hit the teritary flavors. Tannins sneak in on the medium to long finish. Balanced and elegant. Drink now and over the next 5-7 years.

Purchased on release, stored perfectly. Long cork was stained only 1/2 inch. Decanted for 2 hours. Deep nose showing leather, spices, licorice, menthol and flowers. Fairly rich, dark, extracted and tannic palate, shows very unevolved and primary. Surprisingly this is a brute at 22 years from vintage, I was hoping for more secondary development. Best with food.

Aromas of dark black fruit and tobacco with a hint of tar. Palate is dry with medium + acidity. Full body with notes of ripe figs and smooth medium tannins. More fruit evident as the wine sits in glass. Persistent finish. So good with grilled ribs. The acidity really makes this a great food wine. Excellent.

Nose: Strong aroma. Super tertiary, soy sauce, tomato paste, dried porcini mushrooms, cooked raspberries, cooked cherries Palate: Very little fruit left, some black cooked fruit. Tertiary flavors of mushrooms, leather, forest floor. Medium body, Medium + acid Medium + tannins This wine was all structure and no fruit. Id say its past its prime but not un-enjoyable.
