From magnum. Very nice aged burgundy, with soft red fruit, earth and spice. Still showing good acidity on the palate, with oak spice, and soft tannin on the finish. Probably wouldn't have guessed this was grand cru if I hadn't seen the bottle, but still very good.

Off peak, lost concentration, still in good balance, average finish

Slightly rustic aromatics and dark, extracted palate. Finishes abruptly.

Some Wine Tasted at the Zachys Auction; 3/13/2014-3/14/2014 (RN74 - San Francisco CA): The 3rd of our 1988s opened today, this was very pleasurable with mature red and black berries, plenty of earth and a slightly sweet finish.
