deep ruby and great clarity in appearance...nose is fresh and vibrant with black raspberries caressed by licorice, chocolate, smoked paprika...light and feminine on entry with sweet crushed fruit and dark chocolate giving way to gripping tannins and bright acidity...built to last...great QPR
Really very good, in an understated elegant way. Almost burgundian. It takes some tasting skill to appreciate this, which is a problem for some of the posters below, whose palate, I suspect, is used to parkerized fruit bombs, such as Napa cabs and Argentinean steak wines. This would go well with bifteca alla fiorentina, though.
Good wine but I'm use to big fruity cabs. I have lots of Italian wine but this one seemed "flat". No tannins no fruit just a brunello. I like this wine but not my favorite Tuscan. But it deserves a 90 rating.
