Had a previous bottle of this in April 2013 and the extra time in the bottle has made a great difference. Sappy fruit with no hard edges with the Walla Walla hay and fall leaves still showing and that fresh tilled earth. But the fruit is the star here with is very pure and delicious.

Perfumed with smoked beets, barn funk, stewing fruits, raspberry and wet clay. Deep and concentrated, albeit heavy, bloody and woody. Red fruit, warm spices and peaks of bright acidic notes compounded with garrigue-like herbal components lend interest. Noticeable dryness and heat on the mid-palate through the flowing finish.

I liked this wine in the tsting room and liked it at home. I think it is a good example of a well made WA State Bordeaux style wine.
