Interesting and tasty wine, in its own way, but drank older than its age, to me. Notes of cherry, currant, forest floor and lots of earth, with a touch of spice, too. We did a Coravin taste but send the rest home with my friend Leslie, who is on the Merry Edwards mailing list and may like the wines better than I do.
To be fair, I got this bottle in the secondary market (WineBid) and know nothing about its storage, so it may ge a problem with this lot only. All the bottles I purchased there -presumably from the same source /cellar - had aged less gracefully than I had expected. (Or do these wine not age well? I don't know. I would need to visit the winery and taste their aged bottles to know for sure). Ok QPR at $25.

The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like cherry, red currant, flint, dust, light toast, acacia and violet. It tastes like red currant, cranberry, prune, cherry, dust, flint, light toast and honeysuckle. The body is light/medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Pleasant to drink but long in the tooth. Fading color, muted delicate fruit with a whiff of oxidation.
