Some odd notes on the nose with dust and construction adhesive marring the otherwise decent backbone of fruit and leather. Pretty good in the mouth with relaxed tannins and some chocolate.

Very few redeeming qualities. Over oaked. Nose was just prune and raisin. On the palate, simple straightforward, non descript dark fruit. Reminds me of wine I thought was good back in the day. Another example of why I quit their wine club.

Simply amazing. Tasted in both bordeaux glass and rhone glass, definitely tasted better in the bordeaux glass. Rich, bold aromas of roasted ripe fruits with light spice. Dark but clear purple-garnet in color. Rich, chewy flavors of smoked ripe red fruit with cedar box in the long finish. Yet another amazing wine from Tobin James!

Very dark ruby, 95% saturated. Profound nose of alcohol and black fruit with a smattering of oak. Heavyweight and unctuous palate with some candied fruits that rise to bombastic proportion. It could easily be mistaken for a big fat Zin and this is probably the most OTT Tobin James I've tried (and that says alot). Very in your face and sweet but it does have a good tannin structure. It's just a style that pleases the unwashed masses but certainly offends the Bourgeoisie (4+10+15+6) = 85

Never had a bod bottle of Tobin James wine. This one was very jammy with leather and anise finish. We liked it.
