There may be a place for fruit-bomb California Pinot, but this is just a bad exemplar. A dead ringer for Robitussin. Syrupy, cloying red fruit, dialed-up alcohol, and a whiff of menthol. Viscous, goopy, and bracing in the mouth. Return this to your local drug store.

Note - from Coravined glass, 6 days after first glass was removed. Earth and mushrooms on the nose. Similar on the palate with additional hints of plum and tea. Very nice balance and a great QPR.

14.5% alcohol. Such a pretty wine. Light cherry color. Beautiful nose of cherry and baking spice, with an underlying minerality. In the mouth, terrific texture and purity of fruit. A smooth mouth feel, seamless, with refreshing acidity. So fine. A-

Pop and pour - note after 3 hours. Light in color. Forest floor, plums and cinnamon on the nose. Cranberries and strawberries on the palate. Nice acidity - finishes just a bit hot.

14.5% alcohol. A smoking good bottle of wine. This has gotten smooth and velvety, with gorgeously pure cherry fruit and baking spice on the nose. In the mouth, luscious in texture, with layers of fruit, spice, and earth that are just so pretty. I think this is drinking pretty near a good peak right now, but it will continue to develop with a couple more years of age. A-
