  • I will not rate this one as I feel that it is past its prime and not palatable anymore. This was received as a gracious gift and we hoped that it was going to be liquid gold. I'm not sure if the wine was really stored well. Cork crumbled upon getting it out of the bottle. Had to use a butler's knife to get the rest of the cork out. Wine poured a lighter goldenrod into the glass. Nose was interesting to say the least. I was getting everything from honey to truffle to butter. The palate was very blunt - not the acidity that you usually see out of a Chardonnay. Flavor profile was gym socks. This wine was cold when opened. I let it sit and warm. An hour later it was tried again. It was a bit more palatable, but there was still soe burned butter and some gym sock and mushroom characteristic that I couldn't get past. I hate to say it, but the height of this wine was two years ago, and if you're currently holding it, you're out of luck.

  • With rosemary chicken and fries. Golden color with aromas of figs and vanilla. Could have used another year in my cellar.
