  • I served this in my wine course. Surprised to see this is under screw cap, which might explain the intense rubber band style reductive funk on initial opening. But this blew off after 5 minutes to reveal a really nice wine. A touch of volatile acid remained even after the primary reductive funk blew off, but behind that plenty of apricot and ginger in the nose. Rich sweet and spicy mouth, and very long acidic finish with a return of apricot as well as candied orange rind. Very enjoyable and believe this still has a long life ahead as there is plenty of acidity for support.

  • Lots of apricot notes on the nose along with some background citrus notes and mineral qualities. Between medium and full bodied with really impressive upfront fruit (apricot and white peach), then gaining density through the middle where it takes on more tropical character (pineapple, mango) as well as honey. However, this is all excellently balanced by the vibrant and lively acidity shown throughout. Additional contrast is provided by the tart citrus notes on the backside (especially orange and lemon). The balance between the fruit and acidity is what makes this wine special; the richness of the fruit, contrasted with the zing of acidity make for a very enjoyable bottle. Doesn't have quite the depth or complexity of the impressive 2005, but at this stage, it does have more acidity. Should continue to show well for least the next 5+ years.

  • Firing on all cylinders and a perfect match for our after lunch apricot tart. Peach, apricot, honey, musk with a medium to long finish. In peak drinking window now probably won't get much better 92-93.

  • Delicious. Tangerine, orange peel, caramelized apple, honeysuckle, pineapple, mango, peach and some musk. Long finish 30 seconds plus, intense. Does not come across cloying has a fair bit of acidity. Similar to another CT user my wife also loved this wine. Dark gold colour. Given the intensity of the fruit and the bracing acidity it can last for a while and gradually evolve with the score rising. The drinking window above (2012-2019) is way off add another 5-10 years.
