Decanted 2 hrs. Quite tannic and medical, some savory fruit on the edges, really showing its cab franc character. A stubborn teenager, this could use some more time or perhaps even more air.

(Cadence Winery Red Wine Ciel du Cheval Red Mountain) Dark and brooding with earth, mineral, floral notes, high toned herbal notes, and berries. Locked up tightly still, the palate is exquisitely balanced with firm tannins and lithe, sophisticated fruit flavors. Give two-plus years. 38% Cabernet Franc, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Petit Verdot.

Lots of juicy, ripe fruit with tannins lingering in the background; unfortunately, the acidity is waning, translating into a short finish. Drink now.

Some nice tannins and acid but grumpy and weak fruit. Very thin with a shortish boring finish. A solid meh.
