A ruby purple wine with serious legs in the glass. A nose that grabs your attention with loads of vanilla, blackberry, cassis, and an herbal note reminiscent of bay leaf. Also , something floral, maybe violet lurking in the background. In the mouth, it is big, round, and amazingly soft, but not to the point of being plush. Tannins are fully integrated. Some would call this a fruit bomb. In the mouth, powerful blackberry, with cassis and tart cherry. Big and mouth coating, leads to a long finish of blackberry with some cassis. It’s not subtle, even by Australian standards, but it is a tasty wine that keeps your attention.

Bottle was stored for several years with my other bottles, when I opened it to my surprise it was starting to get a tinge of burnt orange on the rim of glass. The brilliant Molly Dooker purple color was no longer there. My bottle was past its prime (I've had numerous other Molly Dookers) but this one was done. Still had a very pleasant aroma but the Flavors were dull. I LOVE my Molly Dookers and will keep buying them even though this one bottle was not up to par.

I read others opinions that this wine is fading or has peaked. This was not my experience. Still fruitful and rich, still has a lot of potential.
