Same notes as last TN. Solid Ain effort from Ridge. This is holding together well. Still lots of life. Some licorice dark ripe fruit notes raisins there roasted prunes without the end of life feel. Acid tannins fruit balanced & suggest several more years of evolution.
Second Sunday Group: Domestic Grenache: Ripe and raisiny fruit dominates the bouquet. Flavors of red and dark fruit, plum and roasted herbs. Finishes with good length but with ripe fruit too. A bit much in my opinion.
Pop and pour and drank over two days. The mouth feel is super and silky and light yet the payload is huge flavored of dark fruit and spice. This one is in a good spot right now and I don't see how it will get any better but it's not declining anytime soon either. This a good after dinner wine based on its big flavor but I'm not sure I would eat a meal with it.
