  This bottle had an nice elegance about it. The spiciness was blended nicely into the medium fruit and the finish showed medium smooth tannin with a prickly touch from the fruit. Would love to nave a few more bottles

  Tasted this bottle blind. Have had this wine many times and just LOVED it. One of my favorite wines. So I couldn't believe that this was the same wine when it came to reveal the wines. It wasn't corked at all, though I wonder if the aging process was a little quicker here for some reason. It just wasn't the same. Looking even more forward to seeing how the final '07 in my cellar has held up.
  Nose: Chocolate, mocha, dustiness, cherry, sweet to ripe red fruit.
  Palate: Big red fruit, cherry (sweet yet sour), mouth-coating and filling, fairly viscous / lush, a touch tart, a little spice, and decent length. If any complaint, it tasted a little manufactured rather than true. Maybe it's the candied flavor and some residual sugar? Still, I really like it. 89-90 pts.

  Very ripe cherry, raisin, leather, smoke, a little sweet tobacco, & still a little oak. Viscous, plush, mouth-coating, & delicious! complex, full-bodied, & seamless from beginning to end. Over-indulgent. Looooong finish. Tasting this on the sides of the mouth for 40+ seconds. Big wine. Only one bottle left. To share, or not to share?? 93-94 pts.
