  Delicious wine in every respect, way overachieving for its supposed low pedigree compared to more exalted Cote d'Or communes. Very dark, clear ruby color, especially for an '08. There is a whiff of fresh cerise in the bouquet, then a blast of ripe dark fruit including blackberry and cassis. There is purity and complexity aplenty. Perfect acid/fruit balance and finishes with a long and savory finish. Memorable wine and it would be hard to do better than this in Santenay. Certainly vibrant now, but has the structure and fruit to ensure a long future ahead. My rating may actually be conservative.

  Drinking great now, and many years to go. Really great lush fruit held in check with great acidity. Really enjoyed this tonight with dinner.
