  Great transparency of character. Cool and clear fruit, in a sense not very '90-like. Very good bottle. 97+

  Provenance ex-domaine and had been stored properly for 30 years so the level was absolutely perfect.
  
  P&P, and immediately open for business. Ethereal nose that you won't forget, with an incredible purity of fruit. Cherries and strawberries coming through, but backed by classic Vosne spice alongside an incredible minerality. Tannins perfectly integrated at this age. Fantastically supple mouth-feel, as if ballet dancers were teasing your tongue.
  
  And it just kept on getting better with a bit of breathing - sadly the bottle was gone within 1.5 hours. Perhaps this has reached its full potential; perhaps it hasn't - this wine tasted as if it was ageless to me.
  
  The legend delivers again, and the hype is very much real. Such a shame that there are so few bottles left that will ever see the light of day.

  An absolutely brilliant bottle. Difficult to describe the purity and freshness of the bright red cherry, clean and bright, open and ripe, developed just so, but overall so energetic. Subtle spice but most an image of refinement and balance. Open, forward, accessible, but still detailed and cerebral. Ethereal but bright and powerful. Tinging Jayer spice. Singular and unique. With the exception of perfect old bottles of Rouget there is nothing like this in Burgundy. (See note on ’90 Rouget Cros Parantoux, Beaumonts, and Echezeaux a few nights later and they were shockingly similar) Thank you to the most generous collector of all time for continuing to share these absolute gems.
