This has come into form very nicely since my last tasting note, still showing good grip, robust blackberry and black cherry flavor with a long, rich finish. The tannins are still firm, but this wine has the energy to show through.

This is a nice wine with some good energy, like the cherry fruit and old world character provided by Sangiovese, but alcohol is a little strong on the finish and this comes off as slightly thin vs. much better balanced and integrated 2006 version of this wine.
