Deep purple in color. Has a lot more life, but still very approachable. Notes of sweet cherry, a little raisin, tobacco, and bramble, with notable tannins. Throwing off a lot of sediment. Really nice.

didn't note color. Cassis, blackberry, licorice, menthol and earth on nose. Palate more dried out than nose. medium body/tannins / acidity and long finish. I didn't put a rating on this but recall enjoying it. Did not score in top 5 in tasting. People thought it was potentially an older Brunello given pruney elements on the palate. My notes were not good on this one.

Agree with some of the more recent reviews that this needs more time. Nose of blackberries, currants. To me, not fully integrated yet. A little heat on the finish. This has potential—I will wait a couple of more years with my other bottle.

Had it blind and I thought it was a New world Cabernet, to be more specific a Washington state top producer and around 2012 vintage, boy was I very wrong!
The wine looks very young, and tasted very energetic at this point, certainly approachable now but likely to keep improving. Sharp tannins, good acidity, and bolder than I would expect from a Rightbank wine. I’m sure the key here is the 2009 vintage which reminiscent top vintages from California!
