Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 88.5 points

  • A friend raved about this Pinot and it is my first New Zealand Pinot Noir. I found it a competent and enjoyable effort, but not an exceptional wine. It had a pleasant nose but it faded somewhat after opening for some time. The taste was medium bodied, fairly concentrated and ripe but acidic and food friendly. All in all an enjoyable wine and one I would not hesitate to drink again depending on pricing. Pity the wine maker appears to have killed himself hangliding.
