Ultra pronounced black pepper, animal, spice and game. A bit "thin" on the palate, but here meaning more linear, tight and structured, less "vapid on fruit", which is still there. Aromatics open, palate closed up. Through and through Cote Rotie with spice, yet the Hermitage last night calls to me...
Full-bodied with wonderful concentration of chocolate, plum, black fruit and a noseful of Asian spices. Decanted for two hours revealed rounded tannins, fig, roasted meat and rich cinnamon aromatics coated the mouth and led to long rich finish
Very young, smoky, straightforward on the nose. Extremely young on the palate, smoke and tar, but very bright acidity. Thick, rather tannic, needs a lot of time, but surely best of 08s, with quite some complexity already. Extremely long.
