  • I'm going to hold off on rating this wine. It has a definite prunish smell, leading me to fear it has gone past its peak, although it doesn't seem musty. It is certainly powerful! The nose hits you a good three feet away: prune, plum, cherry, oregano, raisin, cardamon and pepper. On the palate, there's lots of strawberry, cranberry, blueberry, oregano and earth. It's much more heady that I anticipated. In case it wasn't clear, there is a real oregano note, along with a bit of basil. This bottle was kept reasonably well in my cellar, and its only point of risk was being flown home from France. I wish I had drank it a year ago.

  • Fantastic nose. Big pepper with lots of violets and herbs. Lovely balanced even palate. Perfect finishing tannin. Lengthy. Just a terrific wine all around.
