Deep but translucent purple color w/ thick legs. Musty minerally nose with heavy cedar box (my wife called this low tide nose). Black rasberry fruit w/ heavy tannins & tar. Short finish.

A wonderful smooth wine, reaching a nice maturity at 8 years. Nose of loam, oak and strawberry. Velvet smooth and a great match with the grilled, garlic lamb. Fantastic QPR at $12.99, will buy out the rest at my local shop.

Excellent-- really coming into stride right now, with the tannins relaxing a bit. Not too oaky for a Reserva.

Disappointing bottle. Seemed a bit off and the food match made things worse.
