Not decanted, consumed over 3-4 hours. Mostly consistent with my 3/24/2012 note, with fruit maybe a bit less prominent. The acid stuck out at first, but with an hour or so of air time in our glasses, it settled down well enough. Still needs lots of air and/or lots of time.

Decanted 3-4 hours. Medium-full bodied, with concentrated red fruit, balsamic and herbal notes, plenty of acid, and subtle tannins. The 14.7% alcohol doesn't stick out at all. This has settled down a bit in the last couple of years, but I think another couple of years would do it good. Nice enough now, but good potential for the future.

– tasted a single glass non-blind over 5 minutes –
Nose was pretty tight – lots of swirling coaxed-out some general red fruit aromas, but that was about it. Medium bodied on the palate. Flavors were not overblown in any way: leather, with some spice and a bit of funk. Soft fine-grained tannins with noticeable acidity. Alcohol not noticeable. Well-balanced. Overall, pretty light and open. Medium length finish of light-moderate intensity.

NOSE: Smells vegetal and oxidized; oxidized apple.
BODY: medium bodied.
TASTE: tastes better than it smells, but it's still not good; gently spicy, with roasted red fruits; 14.7% alc.; tastes oxidized; bad.
