This wine has developed nicely and is drinking very nice now. The tannins are silky with dark fruits and a lovely nose. This wine is not over extracted, but not light either. Enjoyed with grilled rib eyes and was a perfect compliment making the pairing as much about the food as the wine.

dbp nailed it - took it to a bbq, poured the first glass after it had been open for maybe 45 minutes and by the time I made it back some 30 minutes later it was gone. Sweet red and blue fruits on the nose, consistent on the palate with an added dusty quality. Nice, but not as strong an offering as Peter's WA cabs.

This wine is somewhat of a paradox. While I rate it good as it was pleasant, it wasn't correct in form IMHO. Compared to other California cabs, it was very light and low on body. It felt as if winemaker was going for old world style, but overshot on alcohol and undershot in body and tannins. Tasted more like Cab Franc honestly.

Memorial Day weekend tasting (Willamette Valley/Ribbon Ridge, Oregon): Large fruited. Spicy and boozy palate. The finish is like candy. Sweet and yummy, but not very interesting. I could see a lot of people being able to pound this down at a party. High school girls would love this.

Good out of the gate, improved over about an hour, then fell off.
