Based on the 2011 and 2010 vintages. 40/30/30 PN/PM/C. Disgorged 12/2017. Dosage 8g/l.
The nose is a little muted. Slight toasty notes, and a little sweetness.
On the palate, quite tart initially, but then less so with green apple notes but not much depth or complexity. The finish leaves a slightly cloying feel rather than being crisp and refreshing.
At ~US$34 this isn't a repeat buy for me.

Base '11, 40 PN, 30/30, all the meunier coming from the Aube. Dosage a little high for me but pretty good stuff. Little evidence of 11 character. Round and biscuity style, crowd-pleaser.

Interestingly; although the label indicates (Paul Clouet) a Bouzy, the grapes do not appear to be sourced from Bouzy. It is not to be confused with his Bouzy grand cru. The wine was produced at a facility in Cramant. As to the wine itself, it shows solid pinot flavors albeit with a bit of harshness. Slight on the finish. That said, in the realm of pinot noir dominant champagnes, you are not likely to find one priced lower than this.

Just a plain champagne, but it still means alot, as there are no ordinary champagne in my opinion.

The Pinot Menuier comes from the Bonne Air family I am being told. 40% Pinot, 30% / 30% Chard, Menuier. 6-9 grams of dosage.
40% reserve wine, nice nice richness on the palate, well rounded, works it out at $55. Apples and fruit on the palate.
