Still quite a lot of fruit that develops over two days as it is aired. Has some raisin/leather mature notes, but mostly just sweet blackberry and perhaps some hoisin sauce. Very similar to the bottle we had three years or so ago. Agree with Zorg, this could still be kept in the cellar a few years more.

At first, the nose is mature new world cab, full of sweet blackberries, honey-rum raisin, chocolate, ripe figs. After a couple of decants, left open for six hours and then back in the fridge, it is just fantastic, and shows of a balanced, fresh, great wine that has a lot more to give. What a wine! went really well with some grilled rib-eyes and a yoghurt sauce based on both jolokia (ghost bite chili), some grilled fennel and zucchini and a lovely salad.
