  • From 375, darker ruby in the glass, pretty nose of red fruits, lighter to medium bodied, cherries, bit of earth and a touch of spice, good acidity, not structured or super complex by any means, but a lovely wine drinking well now, I wish I had more in this format, and I continue to be a huge fan of Angerville

  • This drank really, really well last night. I was a little worried about it because the last bottle was shot (not corked, just messed up). Nicely red fruited on the nose with completely integrated secondary scents. Spicy, red cherry fruited, iron-tinged with a touch of Burgundy earth sneaking in the mid-palate. Good middle-weight texture. Decent if hardly exhorbitant length. Good show and drinking at would seem to be the height of its powers. Really nice and pure example of good quality Volnay with some bottle age. Happy to drink stuff like this any time.
